My friend Kai from Austin flew up to San Francisco to be my assistant for Maker Faire and he blogged about his experience here.
I have been working on orders pretty much non-stop since I got back from San Francisco and the happy little packages will be making their way towards you now! Perhaps I will write about Maker Faire this Sunday.
If you have any questions about the status of your order, please do not hesitate to contact us!
In the meantime, hope to see you at the Midtown Farmers Market tomorrow where all items at my booth will be $5.00!
In case you missed it when it aired – see me make soap on HGTV’s That’s Clever show. I finally uploaded it to YouTube.

I’m in the process of shipping my entire setup to San Francisco for Maker Faire. Soap is… heavy! Here’s one of the finished products I’ll have available for purchase.
A customer just called me to re-order some Baked Bread Candles for a stage production that his school is putting on that includes a bakery. He is trying to make the scene seem as realistic as possible – including making the audience salivate – so he’s going to be burning Feto Soap’s candles during the performance. He said he purchased from a couple of different retailers that were offering the same Baked Bread scent, but ours were the only ones that were spot-on.
I’ve been making a new batch a day for the past week. Here is Energy Soap wet in the mold. It will be ready in time for Maker Faire SF.
At Maker Faire I will have oval, round, rectangle, floral patterned and bees & honeycomb molds for people to use to create their own soap. I will also be bringing a box of toys, glitter and fragrances so you can make your soap look and have whatever you desire in it!
Here’s a fun cow soap I made with blue colorant, gold glitter and fresh rain fragrance in an oval mold.
I’ve made the decision on what 10 colors to bring with me at Maker Faire. The soap you create can be yellow, pink, red, orange, green, sea foam green, neon lime, blue, tan, or purple!
But you can still buy these at the shop!
…for the upcoming Maker Faire. At my booth you will be able to pick the shape of your soap, color, fragrance and toy! The soap on the left was made by a participant at Maker Faire.
This is how they customized their soap:
Clear Melt and Pour Base
Rectangle Clamshell Mold
Liquid Green Colorant
Green Glitter (from Brambleberry)
Alligator (toy)
and they chose their fragrance. (1 ml of fragrance)

At Feto Soap, we are always trying out different ingredients to bring you the best and beautiful soaps possible. This Shea Butter Soap is made with Red Palm Oil – no colorant was added to this soap, yet it has a beautiful golden hue. It is a cold process soap and still in curing mode, so not yet available for purchase.
Stay tuned for more soap experiments to come!
Thanks to all the students that signed up! My next class will be on May 18th.
