Holiday shows year end wrap-up

The end of November and December was a whirlwind of shows you guys! It started with my first show of the holiday season, the Winter Holiday Art Market in Houston, then I immediately came home and loaded my booth up for the Blue Genie Art Bazaar that opened on Black Friday, and I was at Renegade Craft Fair for Small Business Saturday the next day! I had a one weekend reprieve from doing shows, and then I was back at it at the Cherrywood Art Fair!

Blue Genie ran through December 24th, open from 10am – 10pm, so I was there in the mornings and most evenings to restock and straighten up my booth. It was my home away from home this December. I moved this summer from our place on 360/2222 to NACA, so now I’m only 10 minutes from the Marchesa Hall and Theater, where the Blue Genie Art Bazaar is held.

Speaking of moving, I barely got my shelving installed in my work space when holiday show prep was upon us! I had two great apprentices Ashley and Tiffany, who came in at least once a week  (but usually more) to help me package and occasionally make some of my goodies. They helped me at shows and gave me feedback when I wanted to change things up with my products. They also helped me keep sane during the holiday rush. I’m so appreciative of ALL of the hours they put in. Without them I wouldn’t have been able to keep up!

Thank you EVERYONE who came out and bought handmade. You make this all worthwhile!
